IndooR Air Quality

Considering that the average person spends 90% of their time indoors, it is important to create a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment.  Proactive steps are often necessary to protect Indoor Air Quality.  According to studies by the Environmental Protection Agency, indoor air pollution can lead to health problems that include allergies, headaches, rashes, and respiratory issues, such as asthma and sinusitis.

Some of the solutions
we provide include:

Air purifiers

Air purifiers continuously work to filter out pollutants, allergens, and pathogens.  Incorporated into almost any HVAC system, an air purifier is a highly effective means of combating the airborne allergens that arrive with each new season.  Helping to reduce pet odors and dander, harmful smoke particles and mold spores, and capturing dust before it settles, these systems allow you to breathe with confidence.

VENTILATORS

Ventilation is essential to ensuring healthy air quality.  State-of-the-art ventilation systems remove stale air from the home, while preventing valuable energy from escaping.  They quietly exchange stale indoor air with fresh outside air, using the outgoing air to precondition incoming air to improve efficiency.  Because of innovate, treated paper cores, ventilators also reduce humidity from the air before it enters the home.

UV Lamps

UV-C light is a natural disinfectant.  It penetrates the membranes of microorganisms, disrupts their DNA, and renders them harmless. Installed in your central air systems, UV germicidal fixtures boost the value of your system by maximizing efficiency, prolonging blower life, and maintaining healthier indoor air quality.  This technology has been relied upon to sanitize the air in hospitals for more than 75 years.

CO ALARMS

Carbon Monoxide alerts protect your family from dangerous levels of CO in your home.  Since carbon monoxide is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, it is often referred to as the silent killer.  To detect the presence of carbon monoxide, a CO monitor and alarm is necessary.

BECAUSE YOUR COMFORT MATTERS

WHOLE-HOME
HUMIDIFIERS

There are three basic styles of humidifiers:

  • Steam Humidifiers - Steam humidifiers are the effective choice, and work even when the furnace isn’t operating.  They infuse moisture into the air by heating water electrically until it boils to produce humidity in the form of steam.  The steam is picked up by the system blower and transported throughout the home vents, delivering a pure and natural form of humidity.
  • Bypass Humidifiers - Bypass humidifiers introduce moisture to the warm air from the furnace.  Warm air is drawn from the heating ducts and passed through a water panel, where it absorbs moisture, and then is delivered back into the air stream.  Bypass humidifiers can be installed on either the supply or return plenum of a forced air handling system.
  • Fan-powered humidifiers - Fan-powered humidifiers work the same way as a bypass humidifier, but deliver high output with improved moisture dispersal because of a fan that blows air across the internal water panel.  The electricity needed to run the internal fan is about the same as a 25-watt light bulb.
